The beach is located in a rural area, and there are only a limited number of parking spaces available. However, with a bit of planning, you can find the perfect spot to park your car and enjoy your visit to Holkham Beach.

Car Parks at Holkham Beach

There are several car parks available at Holkham Beach. Here are the three main ones:

1. Lady Anne’s Drive Car Park

Lady Anne’s Drive Car Park is the main car park at Holkham Beach. It’s located at the entrance to the Holkham National Nature Reserve and is open between 6am and 9pm daily. There are 2 electric charge points at Lady Anne’s Drive car park, so you can charge your electric vehicle during your visit.

Parking Charges:

  • Up to two hours: £3.50
  • Up to four hours: £6.50
  • Over four hours and all day: £10 (allowing free parking on the same day in Holkham Park)

2. Wells Beach Car Park

Wells Beach (Beach Road) Car Park is located on the beach road that leads to Holkham Beach. It’s a smaller car park, but it’s closer to the beach than Lady Anne’s Drive Car Park. The car park is open between 6am and 9pm daily.

Parking Charges:

  • Up to two hours: £3.50
  • Up to four hours: £6.50
  • Over four hours and all day: £10 (allowing free parking on the same day in Holkham Park)

3. Holkham Village Car Park

Holkham Village Car Park is located in the village of Holkham, about a mile from Holkham Beach. From the car park, it’s about a 20-minute walk to the beach along a footpath that runs through the woods.

  • Up to two hours: free
  • All day: £5

4. Holkham Park Car Park

Holkham Park has its own designated car park which is located near the entrance of the park. The car park is open daily from 9am to 5pm and has 2 electric charge points for visitors who have electric cars.

Getting to Holkham Beach

To get to Holkham Beach, follow the A149 coast road to the village of Holkham. From there, follow the signs to the Holkham National Nature Reserve. The main car park, Lady Anne’s Drive Car Park, is located at the entrance to the reserve.

Alternatively, you can park at Beach Road Car Park or Holkham Village Car Park (both are signposted from the village). Holkham Beach is located in a rural area and the roads leading to it can be narrow and winding, so please take care when driving.
