Types of Free Parking

Street parking – in many cities and towns across the UK, street parking is available for free for a limited time. We will show you where and how long you can park for free.
Off-street parking – in many cases, you can find free parking in car parks that are a short walk from your destination. This is often a better option than paying for street parking as the car is usually more secure as there’s no passing traffic
Weekend parking – many cities offer free parking on weekends or during special events to bring people into the area. This can be a great option if you’re planning a day trip or just need to park your car for a few hours.
Public transport – if you’re looking to save money on parking, consider using public transportation instead and using one of the free car parks on the transport link.
Park & ride – park & ride sites are located in the larger towns and cities across the UK and more often that not, have free parking providing you pay to use the bus or train into the centre. This can work out much cheaper than driving into the city centre where parking prices can be expensive.

The Author

Hi, my name is Amber and I’m here to help find you suitable free parking in towns and cities across the UK.
When I visit new towns and cities, I always take note of where you can (legally) park for free, whether this be on-street parking bays or council run car parks, which offer free parking during certain hours of the day.
Although I take every effort to ensure this information is up to date and correct, if you notice an issue, please get in touch so I can rectify it for everyone.
