We found the cheapest car park for monthly parking in Harrogate to be Cedar Court Hotel Car Park, which costs £75 per month, making it ideal for commuters.

Whilst there is technically no park and ride facilities in Harrogate, there is one car park that offers free parking and is located right by a train station.

You can park at Hornbeam Park car park for free and jump on the train into Harrogate which takes just 3 minutes and costs around £2.80 for a return journey. If you would rather walk, the car park is located around 1.3 miles from Harrogate town centre and should take around 25 – 30 minutes to make the journey.

Motorhome parking in Harrogate

Motorhomes are permitted to park in surface level car parks across Harrogate, however they are required to pay the standard parking charges (purchase and display a ticket for all bays fully or partially occupied).

We recommend Hornbeam Park Car Park as there are no height restrictions.

Coach parking in Harrogate

Coach drop-off/pick-up points are available at Dragon Road Car Park, Harrogate (HG1 5DB). Coach parking is free within designated bays all day from 6am – 10pm.

Car park is subject to closure when being used exclusively for exhibition traffic for the Harrogate Convention Centre. Appropriate signage will indicate this.

Residential parking in Harrogate

If you are a resident in Harrogate where permits are required, you can apply for a residents parking permit.

In order to apply, you will need to prove you are a resident, so will be required to provide proof of address and proof of vehicle. You can expect a cost of around £30 per year for a residents parking permit.

A 50% reduction in the cost is available if proof is provided that:

  • You are aged 60 years or over
  • You are registered disabled or in receipt of Income Support or Job Seekers Allowance
