Springfield Road is a residential street that has plenty of free parking spots available. Be aware, there are parking restrictions that kick in further down the road, so watch out for signs and park accordingly.

Windsor Castle sits in the heart of the town, surrounded by stunning greenery with plenty of walks. The roads around Windsor Castle have quite a lot of restrictions around it for obvious reasons. You can park for free near Windsor Castle on one of the streets nearby:

Cheap Parking in Windsor

If you don’t want to leave your car at one of our suggested free parking spots, there is cheap parking available in Windsor from just £6 per day and these spaces are available to book in advance.

You can park for free in Windsor between midnight and 9am and there’s also a reduced rate from 6pm until midnight at the following car parks:

Is Motorhome parking available in Windsor

Motorhomes are permitted to park in the overflow of Coach Park on Alma Road. Charges apply between the hours of 9am and 9pm, but last access to the car park is 6.30pm. Parking charges are quite high at £12 per hour or £33 per day.

Coach parking in Windsor

The dedicated coach parking is off Alma Street at Coach Park. This is not free of charge and costs £33 to park all day.

The better option would be to drop-off your passengers and drive further out of Windsor to park up. Windsor Racecourse has free coach parking available.

Residential parking in Windsor

If you are a resident in Windsor where permits are required, you can apply for a residents parking permit.

In order to apply, you will need to prove you are a resident, so will be required to provide proof of address and proof of vehicle. You can expect a cost of around £50 per year for a residents parking permit.

Visitor parking permits can be purchased in the form of scratchcards.
